House MD
House, also known as House, M.D., is an American television medical drama that debuted on the Fox network on November 16, 2004. The program was co-created by David Shore and Paul Attanasio; Fox officially credits Shore as creator. The show's central character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie),
an unconventional medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton‑Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The character has similarities to Sherlock Holmes: both are forensic geniuses, musicians, drug users, aloof, and largely friendless. The show's premise originated with Attanasio, while Shore was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character. The show's executive producers include Shore, Attanasio, Attanasio's business partner Katie Jacobs, and film director Bryan Singer. It is largely filmed in Century City.
Dr. House often clashes with his boss, hospital administrator and Dean of Medicine Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), and his diagnostic team, because many of his hypotheses about patients' illnesses are based on subtle or controversial insights. House's only true friend is Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), head of the Department of Oncology. During the first three seasons House's diagnostic team consists of Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), and Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps). At the end of the third season, this team disbands.
Rejoined by Foreman, House gradually selects three new team members: Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley (Olivia Wilde), Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), and Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn). Along with Foreman, the other members of the original team still appear in different roles at the hospital; Kutner was written out of the series toward the end of season 5, as were Taub and Thirteen at the beginning of season 6.
House is critically acclaimed and has high viewership ratings. It was among the top ten rated shows in the United States from its second through its fourth season; in the 2008–09 season, it fell to nineteenth overall. Distributed to 66 countries, House was the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received several awards, including a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Primetime Emmy Awards. It is now on its 6th season.

Blood Diamond
Seen this movie in DVD and then on TV lately and it still captivates in me the sacrifice of Danny Archer(played by Leonardo DiCaprio).
The story revolves around a diamond found by Solomon Vandy(played by Djimon Hounsou)while he was held captive in a war torn Sierra Leone in 1996. Archer, a diamond smuggler, hopes to get what Vandy has found but was left in the RUF mine camp. In order for Archer to get it back he uses a cover as a journalist by asking Maddy Bowen(Jennifer Connelly)to bring them to the site in exchange of giving her information regarding the diamond trade of war torn countries term "Blood Diamond".
The struggle of identity brought out by the war and the harsh life of Archer made him want the Diamond and hoping to leave such life and have a better life through this last trade, the last diamond. In Vandy and Archer's escape, Archer got shot. In the end Archer let go of that dream of becoming free from the Africa, that is to be free from the war torn life that he has by giving the very thing he wants to Vandy. Vandy continued the plan with Maddy to expose the trade of Blood Diamond and standing up to unite his family broken by war and leaving what Archer could have had.

NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service
Have been following this tv series lately.
The story of the series is mainly on the counter-terrorist topics and crime related to Navy. The characters are a mixed of law enforcement personnel coming from diverse backgrounds. For example Gibbs, the team head or leader, is from the Marines. Tony Dinozzo is from the police force, Ziva is a Mossad agent, McGee a MIT grad computer forensic expert, Abbey is a forensic expert, and Ducky is the medical examiner. For more info on characters and past characters click here.
The combination of the investigation story and characters makes this tv series addicting. Episodes are created to include part of the characters personality or history. Gibbs being the leader has most episodes due to his Marine affiliation and his dedication to the service in stopping terrorism.
To watch latest episode go to NCIS official website @ CBS .
A spinoff series is on the way. It is the NCIS:Los Angeles which has a first glimpse at NCIS's season 6 episode 22 titled Legend. The new series will have Callen(played by Chris O'Donnell) as the lead character just like Gibbs.

Royal Pains
"Some doctors still make house calls"
That is the tag line of the new medical drama/comedy series Royal Pains. I was able to see the first episode(if you didn't go to Hulu.com)and I think this one has the potential to be another one of the series that will have huge followers.
The story revolves around Hank. A great doctor with a MacGyver like capabilities in emergencies. He is more of that doctor who sees the profession to be that of serving first before money. His attitude led him to his being blacklisted to the top hospitals when he decided to prioritize on a normal kid instead of the rich donor of the hospital he is employed. And he ended up jobless until his brother drag him to The Hamptons, the paradise of the famous, rich, and royalties.
There as he was trying to enjoy and forget his misfortunes, he attends a sick model in one of the Hamptons party scene. There he was discovered and word spread about Hank, now known as the concierge doctor...people just call him and text their address and just like the very first doctors, make house calls.

Terminator Salvation
"You are the resistance"
That is the famous line in the latest installment of the Terminator series.
I watched the movie as a birthday gift to myself(lol). I don't want to spoil it for those who hadn't watch it yet but I will tell you the a brief about it. As with all the Terminator movies, the story is all about saving John Connor. In the first it was to save John's mother, second was to save him when he was still young, on the third it was to save him and to make sure that he survives Judgement Day, and the latest was to save his father, Kyle Reese who was a young teenager leading a small resistance group(actually very small only him and a young kid) at the same time earning his coat to be part of the resistance.
Watch the trailer from Youtube here.
As always there was a robot involve in the story. The machine character was Marcus, a convicted murderer who donated his body for science in 2003. He never knew he was a cyborg until he was being attended for his wounds by Kate, John Connor's wife.
Marcus was not controlled by Skynet in a sense that he can act independently. His purpose was, as per Skynet, was to infiltrate humans by being human enough in his emotions. He has feelings because his brain and heart were intact to his robotic body.
A very important flavor of the Terminator series is that a machine saves a man. In the end Marcus gave his heart to John to save the human race. That proves that though he has a machine's body he has a human heart....that is to feel....
